Welcome to YOE!! This outdoor leadership course, offered to students in Gr.10-12, is designed to assist students in acquiring the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to safely enjoy outdoor pursuits. This course will challenge students, while helping them to develop critical thinking & decision-making skills, team-building, cooperation and a connection to the outdoors, including active health and wellness. With a focus on Education for Sustainability, students will have the opportunity to learn about environmental stewardship and contribute to community-based programming. Additionally, students will participate in The Duke of Edinburgh Program, the world’s leading youth achievement award, which challenges students in areas of community service, citizenship and outdoor physical pursuits. After all... it's as much the journey as it is the destination! Enjoy!
